Liputan6.com, Texas: For those of you who want to have healthy and beautiful skin might be able to try this herb. AS10 is a fruit drink that developed the U.S. space agency (NASA) as a nutritional supplement to protect astronauts from radiation outside Earth’s atmosphere. According to one study, the drink was proven efficacious eliminate wrinkles, blemishes, and prevent damage to the skin caused by sun exposure. Drink was proven to be effective after we drank two glasses a day in four months. The study was conducted by taking photographs at the tissue under the skin surface to 180 participants. The photos were taken at the beginning and end of the study. After the participants drank two glasses a day AS10 in four months, the final photo shows a significant change, namely the reduction of spots on the skin wrinkles by 30 percent and about 17 percent. AS10 allegedly able to improve the condition of the skin, due to large amounts of antioxidants effectively counteract oxidative stress. Antioxidants attach to and neutralize free radicals before it causes damage. The composition of AS10 consists of a mixture of fruit that is known to block the harmful effects of radiation, such as Cupuacu (Brazilian fruit crops like cocoa), acai, acerola, prickly pear, and yumberry. In addition, other ingredients are wine, green tea, pomegranates, and vegetables. “The skin is the first tissue exposed to UV light. Skin is also very sensitive to oxidative stress. Effects of oxidative stress on the skin can be quickly overcome by taking AS10,” said nutrition researcher and scientist from Utah, Aaron Barson. But unfortunately, the price of drinks were relatively expensive. A 750 milliliter bottle sells for 30 Euro or USD 435 000. Some experts say that the benefits of drinking cosmetics AS10 is equivalent to using a sunscreen with a protection UVB / UVA. (Dailymail / SHA)

Java is the 13th largest island in the world and was formed as the result of volcanic actions. It is made up of a chain of volcanic mountains forming an east-west spine along the island. There are three primary languages but most of the people speak Indonesian as their second language. The majority of the Javanese people are Muslim, however, there is a mixture of different religious beliefs caused by Java’s diverse history.
The earliest archeological artifact is a Hindu statue of Ganesha (1st century AD) found on the summit of Mount Raksa in Panaitan Island in West Java.
The earliest written records, in Sanskrit, mention the kingdom of Tarumanagara in the 5th century A.D. It lay to east of modern day Jakarta and one King Purnawarman was its ruler. He began the construction of irrigation canals for rice fields. He also inscribed his name and made a carving of his footprints, as well as his elephant’s footprints on a huge black boulder. The inscription reads, “Here are the footprints of King Purnawarna, the heroic conqueror of the world”.
However, Java and other Indonesian islands were mentioned by Indian scholars before this time and there was a continuous migration of Indian settlers between the 1st and 7th century AD. Like many other Southeast Asian kingdoms of that age Tarumanagara was influenced by the civilization of India. The blending Hindu literature and philosophy together with local culture enabled Hindu religion to spread throughout all layers of society in Java.
The Tarumanagara kingdom disappeared sometime within the next three centuries perhaps because of the rise of the Buddhist kingdom of Sriwijaya in south Sumatra but no one knows for sure.
From about the 8th century central Java was ruled by the Sailendra princes. Their small kingdoms were rich and the center of commercial and naval power. They built enormous religious monuments the largest of which is the Buddhist temple of Borobudur. Soon after the completion of Borobudur (built between 750-850 AD) the Temple to Siva at Prambanan was begun although this temple was not constructed by the Sailendras. Then some unknown disaster seems to have occurred at the beginning of the 10th century because there was a sudden end to the production of monuments, inscriptions and other artifacts in central Java.
The last of the major Hindu kingdoms was The Majapahit Empire in eastern Java (1293 to about 1500 AD). Then in the sixteenth century the power of coastal Muslim kingdoms began to grow and the remnants of the Majapahits fled to Bali which still has a Hindu majority today.
The earliest Muslim missionaries were called the Wali Sanga (the nine saints) they are the founders of Islam in Java and some of their tombs are still well-preserved. The type of Islam in Java is mixed with long-standing local beliefs.
The Dutch arrived in the early sixteen hundreds and established the Dutch East India Company with its trading and administrative headquarters in Batavia (now the capital city of Jakarta). By the nineteenth century the Dutch government had taken control of Indonesia and in the mid-nineteenth century endorsed policies to increase the profitability of the colony which increased the production of cash crops. This led to famine and widespread poverty in Java and by the beginning of the twentieth century there were protests which succeeded in changing this policy to one of increased investment and gave the Javanese elites access to a Dutch education. The later Indonesian nationalist leaders came from these western educated people formed the government, when Indonesia became an independent Republic after the end of World War II.

Japan’s most powerful earthquake since records began has struck the north-east coast, triggering a massive tsunami.
Cars, ships and buildings were swept away by a wall of water after the 8.9-magnitude tremor, which struck about 400km (250 miles) north-east of Tokyo.
A state of emergency has been declared at a nuclear power plant, where pressure has exceeded normal levels.
Officials say 350 people are dead and about 500 missing, but it is feared the final death toll will be much higher.
In one ward alone in Sendai, a port city in Miyagi prefecture, 200 to 300 bodies were found.
The quake was the fifth-largest in the world since 1900 and nearly 8,000 times stronger than the one which devastated Christchurch, New Zealand, last month, said scientists.
Thousands of people living near the Fukushima nuclear power plant have been ordered to evacuate.
Japanese nuclear officials said pressure inside a boiling water reactor at the plant was running much higher than normal after the cooling system failed.
Officials said they might need to deliberately release some radioactive steam to relieve pressure, but that there would be no health risk.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had earlier said the US Air Force had flown emergency coolant to the site.
But US officials later said no coolant had been handed over because the Japanese had decided to handle the situation themselves.
The UN’s nuclear agency said four nuclear power plants had shut down safely.
Measured at 8.9 by the US Geological Survey, it struck at 1446 local time (0546 GMT) at a depth of about 24km.
The tsunami rolled across the Pacific at 800km/h (500mph) – as fast as a jetliner – before hitting Hawaii and the US West Coast, but there were no reports of major damage from those regions.
Thousands of people were ordered to evacuate coastal areas in the states of California, Oregon and Washington.
The biggest waves of more than 6-7ft (about 2m) were recorded near California’s Crescent City, said the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre.
A tsunami warning extended across the Pacific to North and South America, where many other coastal regions were evacuated, but the alert was later lifted in most parts, including the Philippines, Australia and China.
Strong waves hit Japan’s Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures, damaging dozens of coastal communities.
A 10m wave struck Sendai, deluging farmland and sweeping cars across the airport’s runway. Fires broke out in the centre of the city.
Japan’s NHK television showed a massive surge of debris-filled water reaching far inland, consuming houses, cars and ships.
Motorists could be seen trying to speed away from the wall of water.
In other developments:
- Four trains are missing along the coast, says Japan Railways; and a ship carrying 100 people was swept away
- Fire has engulfed swathes of the coast in Miyagi prefecture’s Kesennuma city, one-third of which is reportedly under water
- A major explosion hit a petrochemical plant in Sendai; further south a huge blaze swept an oil refinery in Ichihara city, Chiba prefecture
- Some 1,800 homes are reported to have been destroyed in the city of Minamisoma, Fukushima prefecture
- A dam burst in north-eastern Fukushima prefecture, sweeping away homes, Kyodo news agency reports
- At least 20 people were injured in Tokyo when the roof of a hall collapsed on to a graduation ceremony
In a televised address, Prime Minister Naoto Kan extended his sympathy to the victims of the disaster
As aftershocks rattled the country, residents and workers in Tokyo rushed outside to gather in parks and open spaces.
Many people in the Japanese capital said they had never felt such a powerful earthquake.
In central Tokyo, a number of office workers are spending the night in their offices because the lifts have stopped working.
“This is the kind of earthquake that hits once every 100 years,” said restaurant worker Akira Tanaka.
Train services were suspended, stranding millions of commuters in the Japanese capital.
About four million homes in and around Tokyo suffered power cuts.

A 6.1-magnitude earthquake on Monday drove shoppers in Cianjur Supermall in Cianjur, West Java, into a panic, with hundreds rushing to get out of the mall when they felt the tremor.
The Meteorological, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said the epicenter of the quake was located 121 kilometers southwest of Sukabumi regency, or 141 kilometers southwest of Sukabumi city, at a depth of 24 kilometers.
Cianjur lies east of Sukabumi in the southern coast of Java
“There was quite a panic, due to the strong effects of the quake. I ran out because I was afraid that the earthquake would last a long time. I also feared that there was going to be a follow-up quake,” Rahmi, a shopper at Cianjur Supermall, told Antara News agency on Monday.
Similar reactions were witnessed among people at local hospitals, office buildings and shopping centers throughout Cianjur.
At Cianjur General Hospital, dozens of patients were evacuated from the building as a precaution. After a few minutes, the patients were allowed to return to their rooms.
Some of the patients were initially reluctant to return to their rooms for fear of aftershocks and only returned after waiting to verify that all was well.
“It would have been pretty risky if we hadn’t taken the patients out, especially if the quake ended up lasting longer than it did. In the end, the unspeakable didn’t happen, even though many patients were frightened,” said Dendy, head of an in-patient ward at Cianjur General Hospital.
Meanwhile, a resident of Sukabumi city, Dina Nurlaila, said she rushed from her home when the tremor started.
“Some of my neighbors even broke open locked doors,” she told reporters.
Residents in Palabuhanratu, Sukabumi regency, said they felt the tremor for quite some time.
“All I had in my mind was carrying my child while reciting prayers,” said Eliyas who lives in the coastal district of Palabuhanratu.
The quake was also felt as far as Banten and Jakarta, including in The Jakarta Post’s office, in the northern coast of Java. (png/nvn)
